As June 30th marks exactly the half-way point in the 50-year cycle enshrined in the HKSAR's Basic Law, it is an ideal time to consider business fortunes. What will be the impact of the incoming 6th-term Chief Executive and his government on the way business is conducted, and what changes should be expected. Although the National Security Law has restored social stability, does this mean that economic development is now assured. As the rule of law is fundamental to Hong Kong's success, is the legal system still fit for purpose and can the Judiciary ensure just outcomes. Can businesses expect to flourish over the next 25 years, and beyond.
The Singapore Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong) is organising a luncheon talk on "HKSAR 25th Anniversary Business & Rule of Law".
